There really is nothing I can say about GG ALLIN that has not already been said. If you were too young when he was on the scene to know who he was then watch the videos and know that artists like this do not come around too often. Specially in a music industry washed out by image consultants and pc performers afraid to do anything that may reduce their sales and income. GG was the real deal and lived what he recorded. Yes he was crude and rude and down right disgusting to most but he was true to his art which in today's lingo we call "Punk" or "Thrash" or "Underground" whatever you want to call it, IT was music and IT was art to him and the many that followed him. I wanted people to get a small taste of his art here and hopefully it will inspire and motivate someone of a different generation to continue what GG had started in his own rite...R.I.P. GG...

Cloud 9 Murders! Is my personal favorite "new" New Mexico band! These guys are MurderCore with no BullShit or egos, they just play heavy and raunchy. You sick of the new shit thats too pc and a bit lame? Sick of bands that try too hard to stand out? You want a change? Then give these guys a listen, they are refreshing to hear, and getting even better. Wheither they are writing about the beheadings in Juarez or post war violence, these guys are the shit.. You may be disgusted or offended by some of thier lyrics or views but its all part of the real deal that is "Cloud 9 Murders"

I had the pleasure of meeting
these guys at a local party gig, My impression of this band was a band
that is very loyal to sticking to the real metal sound which seems to be
a dying breed with all the corp. shit music coming out now. Thank god
these guys are the future of metal. There is hope for all those that are
fans of the old school exodus, maiden, pantera etc. and its name is
Divided Inside! Check out thier page, If your any kind of real metal fan
youll be glad you did.

The Toyes are an American
Reggae/Rock band originally based on Oahu, now living in Grants Pass,
Oregon. Their guitar-heavy style has been described as a "cross between
Bob Marley and Barenaked Ladies." They are perhaps most famous as the
original songwriters and recorders of the song "Smoke Two Joints". It
was originally recorded in 1983, and was re-released on their 1996 debut
album The Toyes. An influential version was recorded by the band
Sublime

POT are a four piece Groove Metal
band from South West UK! At points Pot sound like Lynyrd Skynyrd being
fed through a meat-mincer and at others they sound like Badmotorfinger
era Soundgarden, with an impressively sludgy sound and a
don’t-eat-the-brown-acid delivery that leaves the crowd with the
munchies for more.

Icarus Witch seems like one of the
busiest bands Ive heard of, always touring, always making music. With
fans including the likes of Iron Maiden, these guys were nice enough to
send me their cd years ago. Now Iam finally able to put them up here. If
you Like Straight across the board "Melodic Metal" you will love this
band. They have vocals that resemble that of Accept pitch and
traditional Metal style in every sense of the word. You are in for a
good dose of classic yet progressive sounding Heavy Metal, give them a
listen, they may be touring near you.

Some Old School Stuff...

My
personal favorite band of all time is without a doubt "OVERKILL" now I
know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but I have found when you want
some of the best speed metal with some power thrown in, it doesn't get
any better than these guys. They don't ever really follow any trends and
they definitely don't use any image consultants or need therapists to
follow their egos around. They have lasted this long from one
thing,"Music" ..they stay true to theirs and in return the fans are the
most loyal, Thanks OVERKILL.

I have loved MINISTRY, since I
first listened to them in 88. They were somewhat industrial but with a
kinda thrash edge. Very fast beats in some cases and kinda dark in their
message of some drugs gone bad and political statements. I was lucky
enough to see them live and it did not disappoint. It was an outdoor
venue, so when it started to rain the moshing on concrete became a whole
different challenge. If you like the guitar-work of Rigormortis and
some industrial speed with wicked vocal style, you really should give
them a listen, they were the first of a style that's still attempted
today.

LOL Well what can I say about the
original S.O.D.(storm troopers of death) That they cant say for
themselves? I first heard this band in the mid 80's and man for a cd
that was recorded in bout 3 days and the longest song about 2 1/2
minutes, It blew me away. Some of the heaviest shit around to this day
and some of the founders of the infamous saying "NOT" and bringing the
entire Mosh scene to the for front of thrash like no other..This band is
the SHIT for real!

One of the first "Crossover" Bands
around, this bands edge and sound was and is like no other for their
day, Punk yes but maybe thrash/metal too? And they still carry that
tradition of originality on. through their lyrics and broken nose music,
they are timeless and were as much of an influence today as many of
their counter parts from the same era. Give them a listen you wont be
disappointed.

| My favorite Band...Overkill - "Skull and Bones" feat. Randll Blythe

The Pharcyde and one of the coolest videos ever for the song "Drop"
|
|
|
The Pharcyde is a kinda stoner hip/hop rap "highness" group. I got into them from the video "Drop" which is posted above(awesome video and was filmed in reverse then played in reverse, very cool) and I thought it was the most creative thing I had seen in along time and the music was top notch aswell. Remember they werent doing what was popular for the rap world at the time. Thier creativity is boundless and it shows, if you get any thier music you cant go wrong with thier mellow style and great producing. You must "chill" out at home some lazy day and jam out to these guys. Get thier cd's called "Labcabincalifornia" and "Bizzare ride" you cant miss.

The Goats have been one of my favorites since bout 93, these guys are underrated as can be but have a badass style, and the amazing artwork from "No Goats No Glory" is amazing to zone out on while listening to thier beats while under the influence of the green that they rap about at times, check out the video below of the song "Wake n Bake", these guys are more than that tho, they are true storytellers rap'n about political and everday events, lots of variety. I strongly recommend giving them a chance in the near future.
